A 38-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in Makati City.
The suspect was identified only by the alias Bonifacio, a resident of Barangay Pembo, Taguig City.
He was arrested at his residence in Barangay Pembo at around 12:08 A.M. after coordinated follow-up operations by personnel of Sub-Station 7 and Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo, in collaboration with barangay officials.
Initial investigation showed that the victim, accompanied by two friends, was approached by the suspect during a social gathering in Barangay Pitogo, also in this city.
The suspect allegedly separated the victim from her friends and brought her to an apartelle in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City.
The victim reported that she was molested by the suspect inside the premises.
The suspect is now detained at the Makati City Police Station custodial facility while facing charges for violation of Republic Act 11648 or statutory rape.
