Police have formed a special investigation team to urgently track the whereabouts of a bride-to-be who disappeared just four days before her scheduled wedding in Quezon City.
The missing woman was identified as Sherra De Juan, a bookkeeper, who was scheduled to marry her fiancé, IT engineer Mark Arjay Reyes, 31, on Sunday, 14 December 2025.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Public Information Office chief told the Daily Tribune on Monday that a “Special Investigation Team” (SIT) was created to assist the Fairview Police Station, which is leading the probe.
“This is a best practice of the QCPD when there are incidents like this, to speed up case resolution,” the spokesperson said.
Reyes reported that he last received a message from De Juan around 1 p.m. 10 December. She informed him she was heading to Fairview Center Mall to buy the shoes she planned to wear on their wedding day.
Reyes grew worried when De Juan failed to return home that evening. He was unable to contact her because she had left her cellphone at home charging. The device has since been turned over to police for technical analysis.
“I got nervous because it had been more than five hours,” Reyes said, noting that he and her family began searching and reported her disappearance to Barangay North Fairview authorities that same night.
CCTV footage captured De Juan walking through an alley near her North Fairview home around 1:25 p.m. and later crossing Atherton Street. She was last seen on camera at a gasoline station around 1:37 p.m. Reyes said checks of the mall’s CCTV footage did not show her entering.
Reyes stressed that they had no conflicts or misunderstandings before her disappearance. The couple had been together for five years and were preparing for their wedding and future plans, including starting a family.
“It is deeply painful that she suddenly vanished without explanation,” Reyes said.
Reyes has offered a P20,000 reward for any information that leads to De Juan’s location. He pleaded for her safe return, addressing anyone who might be holding her.
