Eastridge-Prime Homes 1 goes into the final round of the 75th Fil-Am Invitational clutching a 21-point lead after posting 116 points at Baguio Country Club in Baguio on Friday.
The Binangonan-based team rode on Edison Tabalin’s 34 points to foil Januarius Golf 1’s charge. Eastridge also drew 28 from Bobe Salahog and 27 each from Ronel Taga-an and Miko Granada.
Terence Macatangay led Januarius charge with 31 points, but the most it could do was cut Eastridge’s lead by a single point. Also scoring for Januarius were Jet Mathay 29, Coby Rolida 29, and Chuckie Hong 28.
Play was suspended after heavy rains rendered the course unplayable.
Meanwhile, four divisions concluded play before the break.
Over at BCC, Team Master and Baguio City ruled the Fil-B and Fil-F divisions.
The other winning teams were Alpha Phi Omega Golf Club-Team Omega in Am-B and Fil-Golfers of Honolulu 2 in Am-F at John Hay Golf.
