

The Quezon City government reported Tuesday 648 new dengue cases and four dengue-related deaths from 17 November to 4 December.
According to the Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Division (QCESD), this reflects an average of 24 cases per day. The fatalities involved three males and one female, all aged 5 to 21 years. Three of them exhibited warning signs, while one case was classified as severe dengue.
Of the 648 new cases, 57% (368) were male, and 43% (280) were female. Children aged 5 to 17 years made up half of the cases, with 324 infections.
Meanwhile, 326 cases (59%) were classified as dengue with warning signs, 305 cases (47%) as dengue without warning signs, and 12 cases (2%) as severe dengue.
Barangay Payatas logged the highest number of cases with 57, followed by Batasan Hills with 48, and Commonwealth with 39.
The city government urged residents to seek immediate medical consultation at the first signs of dengue, such as fever, headache, and rashes, to prevent severe complications and reduce the risk of death.
