A man who admitted killing a Lebanese national has voluntarily surrendered to police at the Baliwag City Police Station in Baliwag, Bulacan, on Monday.
According to a police report, the alleged gunman was a 47-year-old driver from Gapan City.
The suspect went to the Baliwag City Police Station on 8 December and admitted to the 23 November shooting in Brgy. Sabang.
He also surrendered a 9mm pistol believed to be the same firearm used in the attack.
Police earlier struggled with limited leads after the victim was shot at close range by a lone assailant who fled immediately.
The crime triggered concern in the community, prompting intensified operations from PRO3.
Police are now preparing appropriate charges while probing the motive behind the killing. The surrendered firearm will undergo ballistic examination to confirm its connection to the crime.
