PNP ACG arrests 106 suspects in November cybercrime crackdown

The Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) reported a surge in operations in November 2025, resulting in the arrest of 106 individuals linked to various online offenses.

According to the ACG’s monthly report, the arrests were made through entrapment operations, service of warrants, and one rescue operation conducted between November 1 and 30.

The unit also filed 188 cases during the period, including 120 regular filings and 68 inquest cases.

PNP spokesperson P/BGen. Randulf Tuaño said the intensified operations coincided with broader efforts to curb cyber fraud, online exploitation, and other digital crimes.

As part of these efforts, the ACG implemented 97 cyber warrants, most of which were Warrants to Disclose Computer Data, along with warrants to examine and seize electronic evidence.

The ACG also conducted 2,365 cyber patrol activities, 68 digital forensic examinations, and assisted in securing convictions for 22 individuals. The unit additionally rescued 18 victims and took 15 Children in Conflict with the Law into custody.

Acting PNP Chief P/Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the rise in operations reflects the growing volume of cybercrime complaints and the need for continuous law enforcement action, especially ahead of the holiday season, when online scams typically increase.

“These accomplishments show clear progress, but they also remind us that the job is far from over. We are pushing for smarter, faster, and more coordinated cyber enforcement so every Filipino feels safe online,” Nartatez stressed.

With online scams expected to rise during the holiday season, the PNP also advised the public to exercise caution when shopping online, responding to unsolicited messages, or making digital transactions.
