When was the last time you stepped into a world filled with magic and wonder?

This year, University of Santo Tomas (UST) transforms its campus into an Encantadia-inspired spectacle, bringing one of the most beloved Filipino fantasy dramas to life. Fans of all ages now have the chance to experience the enchantment firsthand — right in the heart of the university.

Encantadia first aired on GMA Network on 2 May and quickly became a cultural phenomenon. Its legacy continues today with Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre (2025), which extends the saga for a new generation of viewers.

The original series and its 2016 reboot follow the four Sang’gre sisters, guardians of their realm and protectors of the four elemental gems — fire, water, earth and air. The latest installment builds on this rich mythology, introducing new heroes while preserving the magic, drama, and lore that made the show iconic.

At UST, that magic feels almost tangible. The Main Building radiates the colors of the four elemental gems — red, blue, green and yellow — casting an ethereal glow across the campus.

Every corner holds a touch of enchantment: Mystical props, fantastical set pieces, and Instagram-worthy installations invite students to step directly into the world of Encantadia. Even the smallest details — from banners to walkways — are crafted to immerse visitors in this magical realm.

What makes this theme especially meaningful is the way it bridges generations of fans. Alumni who first fell in love with the show now share the excitement with younger students discovering Encantadia for the very first time. It’s a celebration of nostalgia and new beginnings — creativity and imagination woven together into one spectacular campus experience.

Beyond the dazzling visuals, the celebration highlights the university’s commitment to fostering creativity, culture and community. It shows how campus events can transcend tradition, becoming spaces where storytelling, fandom and student engagement come alive.

Whether you’re taking photos, exploring the installations, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, the experience is designed to make everyone feel part of this magical universe.

This year, UST transcends the notion of hosting an event; it unveils a portal — welcoming students and alumni into a realm where magic is palpable, stories endure and generations unite.
