The Makati City government has resumed its daily feeding program for public school learners, distributing snacks to more than 32,000 students across elementary and secondary schools.
The initiative, called “Project FEED (Food for Excellent Education and Development),” resumed on 17 November and will run for 30 days until December 2025, covering kindergarten to Grade 12 learners, including those under the Special Education Program (SPED).
Makati Mayor Nancy Binay said the program aims to support the health and classroom readiness of students, stressing that children who are “full and well” are more attentive, engaged, and understand lessons more quickly.
Binay added that Project FEED also helps ease daily concerns parents have to attend to.
“Even in small ways, it lessens what parents have to think about each day, and it reassures them that their children are receiving nutritious snacks in school,” she said.
Project FEED is implemented in partnership with the Schools Division Office of Makati City.
