Yassi Pressman is setting the record straight — she is not married.

Despite ongoing speculation about her relationship with Camarines Sur 2nd District Representative Luigi Villafuerte, the actress made it clear that wedding bells are not ringing just yet.

“No, no, no,” she stressed. “We’re not just taking everything in a rush situation.”

What she is certain of, however, is the joy she has found in her two-year romance with the young lawmaker. “Two years in, extremely happy. Best relationship I ever had in my life,” Pressman shared, opening up about a love that feels both grounding and liberating.

“Mahal na mahal ko si Luigi tapos pinakagrabe yung nararamdaman kong love niya for me. This is the most I’ve been loved ever,” she said. “It’s a beautiful thing na ina-admire niya ako bilang tao — everything, flaws and all.”

PUBLIC LOVE, PUBLIC SCRUTINY

Her relationship with Villafuerte has not escaped controversy — from a campaign-stage kiss that stirred debate to criticism over their vacation appearance during Typhoon Kristine’s landfall in Camarines Sur. Yet Pressman remains unfazed.

“No, hindi eh,” she said when asked if she pays attention to detractors. “About us, I don’t really give it the time and the energy. Kasi sobrang dami ring nagbibigay sa amin ng energy and love.”

She added her admiration for Villafuerte’s work ethic and dedication to public service: “Ako, I admire him sa trabaho niya, as public servant. He’s there, he’s present. Alam niya yung ginagawa niya. He memorizes everything and it seems noble.”

A POWERFUL RETURN TO ACTING

Amid the noise, Pressman is also celebrating a homecoming — her comeback to scripted television through Dreamscape Entertainment’s upcoming action series “Roja.” The project marks her return to the genre where she first felt truly at home.

“Nakita ko ‘yung cast, nakita ko y’ung script, nakita ko ’yung mga taong bumubuo, and to be part of that is really, really big and especially coming back to my home, to an action genre,” she said.

She shares the screen once again with veteran actor Joel Torre, her co-star from the psychological horror film Isolated earlier this year. Their reunion only heightened her excitement for the project.

Reflecting on the experience, she said simply: “It has sparked the fire again in my heart.”

SISTERHOOD AND HEALING

Beyond romance and career, Pressman’s voice turns tender when speaking about her sister Issa, who recently opened up about surviving severe cyberbullying in an interview with Karen Davila.

“I’ve seen a lot of those good times, dark times, good times, super dark times and a lot of people don’t make it out, muntik na siya di ba,” Yassi said. “Dahil nakalabas siya super saya ko lang na naputol niya yung line of trauma.”

She praised Issa’s courage in sharing her struggles — a reminder that many who suffer in silence carry stories no one sees. “Yung mga taong may pinagdadaanan hindi naman nila ito nakukuwento,” she reflected.

And from her sister’s journey came a lesson she now holds close:

“I have to be there more, be present more, and listen more. At ‘yun ang masasabi ko sa lahat ng may mga mahal sa buhay na medyo off sila ngayon: kamustahin niyo sila. Check up on them. Be there.”

With a thriving relationship, a revitalized acting journey, and a deeper understanding of compassion and presence, Yassi Pressman steps into this chapter grounded in honesty and fierce love — for her partner, her craft, and her family.
