Building on a giant-slaying win over Criss Cross, Kindai University aims to go 3-0 in the 2025 Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference semifinals as it faces University of Santo Tomas (UST)-Gameville Monday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.
The Japanese guest team will try to capitalize on the absence of key Golden Spikers players Josh Ybañez, Al-Bukharie Sali, JJ Macam, and head coach Odjie Mamon, all sidelined due to Alas Pilipinas duties.
First serve is at 1 p.m., kicking off the triple-header organized by Sports Vision.
Recent Spikers’ Turf Press Corps Player of the Week Haruka Misugi looks to maintain his impressive form for Kindai University, which also defeated ProVolley Academy of Australia last Friday during the historic gameday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Meanwhile, the 3 p.m. matchup features an all-out clash between Savouge Aesthetics and Cignal, as the Spin Doctors (2-0) aim to remain unbeaten in the single round-robin semifinals.
“I always remind the players about this one word: Finals,” said Savouge ehad coach Sydney Calderon.
“Our performance in the elimination wasn’t that good but this is the real competition. This will determine how the conference would end,” he added.
