The holidays grew more joyous in Manila with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Lanson Place Mall of Asia, celebrating this year’s theme, “Season of Joy.” The event highlighted the many ways happiness can be shared, from simple acts of kindness to festive gatherings, reminding everyone that joy is brightest when experienced together.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Ms. Elizabeth Sy, President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation; Mr. Hans Sy, Chairman of SM Prime Holdings Inc.; Ms. Peggy Angeles, Executive Vice President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation; and Honourable Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano of Pasay City.
A curated musical programme directed by Nestor Jardin set the festive mood. Performances by Vien King, The Opera Belles, and Bernie Pasamba and the Music Masters filled the lobby with orchestral warmth and energy. Guests also enjoyed a cocktail buffet prepared by the Lanson Place Culinary Team, creating a space for connection and shared moments of joy.
“The Season of Joy reminds us that happiness grows when shared,” said Nils Rothbarth, General Manager of Lanson Place Mall of Asia, Manila. “Whether through a kind gesture, a generous act, or the warmth of genuine hospitality, each of us can help make the world a little brighter.”
“This evening, under the theme ‘Season of Joy,’ we gather not only to illuminate our Christmas tree but to kindle the spirit of hope, gratitude, and togetherness that this season brings. The twinkling lights before us are more than a festive display. They are a reminder that light finds its way even through the darkest nights,” Ms. Peggy Angeles reflected.
This year, Lanson Place continues its partnership with the Philippine School for the Deaf, supporting programs that enrich the lives of its students. Guests can also enjoy festive dining at Cyan Modern Kitchen, from the Christmas Eve Dinner Buffet to the Christmas Day Lunch and Dinner Buffets, as well as artisanal hampers and handcrafted treats from Santa’s Sweet Factory.
Lanson Place Mall of Asia invites everyone to gather, celebrate, and share joy in this season of warmth and togetherness.
