The camp of Jimuel Pacquiao believes it already has the perfect gameplan for the celebrated son of the eight-division legend to make a rousing professional debut late this month in Temecula, California.

Pacquiao battles Brendan Lally of Chicago in a super-featherweight showdown on 29 November at the Pechanga Casino Resort.

The show — being put up by Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP) — is the maiden card of the Pacquiao-owned outfit manned by Sean Gibbons.

Marvin Somodio, the right-hand man of Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, is Pacman Jr.’s lead trainer.

Somodio, also a member of Pacquiao’s training team, has carefully studied Lally, who is likewise fighting for the first time as a pro.

“He’s a fighter,” Somodio told DAILY TRIBUNE on Monday (Tuesday in Manila) after presiding over another workout.

By describing Lally as such, Pacquiao knows he will be up against a tough customer in the pursuit of success on top of the ring like his Hall of Famer father.

“I have his videos although I don’t have enough information on his amateur background,” Somodio added.

The aspiring boxer’s parents — Manny and Jinkee — are in Los Angeles and they will be at ringside when he finally makes the big jump into the pros.

“Super nervous,” Jinkee told this paper when asked about her feelings about his eldest son’s decision to turn pro.

While in America, Jimuel gets pointers from his dad, who has joined him in training in the gym.

“He’s (Lally) a tough Irish kid,” Gibbons added.

If MPP’s initial offering turns out to be a success, Gibbons plans to do three to four shows under the MPP banner in 2026.
