The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported Monday afternoon…
Cloudy skies and scattered rains are expected across multiple parts of the country this week due to the combined effects of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the northeast monsoon or amihan, and a shearline, according to the weekly outlook of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
On Sunday, the ITCZ will continue to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao. The amihan will affect Cagayan Valley and Aurora, bringing cloudy skies and rains.
The Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and Ilocos Region will experience partly cloudy skies with rains, while the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
From 17 to 21 November, the ITCZ will persist in affecting Palawan, Eastern Visayas, and Mindanao, resulting in scattered rains and thunderstorms.
Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience cloudy skies with rains due to the amihan.
PAGASA added that the rest of the country will experience weather ranging from partly cloudy to cloudy, with chances of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
