The Southern Police District (SPD) has deployed 610 personnel to secure the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) Peaceful Rally scheduled from 16 to 18 November.
According to the SPD, the deployment includes officers from the District Mobile Force Battalion, district headquarters, and support units. The personnel will oversee crowd management, traffic flow, and incident response throughout the three-day observance.
Ahead of the deployment, an inspection was conducted on 14 November to assess overall readiness. Police were instructed to exercise maximum tolerance, vigilance, and discipline in managing participants.
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) earlier announced that more than 16,000 police personnel will be mobilized nationwide for the event — 8,541 in Metro Manila, and 8,000 across CALABARZON.
Authorities estimate that around 300,000 INC members are expected to participate.
