On Monday morning, personnel of the Baras Municipal Police Station conducted clearing operations and removed fallen trees along Marilaque Highway in Barangay Pinugay, in this town, to ensure the safety of motorists and prevent any accident in the area.
Rizal police provincial director P/Col. Feloteo Gonzalgo reported to Police Regional Office (PRO) 4-A Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas that no flash flood and landslide incidents were reported in the province.
“Pinayuhan natin ang mga pamilyang nagsilikas na huwag munang bumalik sa kani-kanilang mga bahay hangga’t hindi pa iniutos ng mga awtoridad. Maging alerto muna sa anumang mangyari upang maging ligtas ang lahat,” Gonzalgo said.
During his visit to the San Mateo Municipal Police Station, Gonzalgo assured a smooth coordination between the police, local government, and relevant agencies to ensure a sufficient supply of food, medicine, and other basic necessities for the evacuees.
According to Gonzalgo, the police officers watching over the residents who evacuated due to the typhoon at the evacuation centers were also alert, adding that no incidents of violence or disorder were reported so far. NEIL ALCOBER
