November 9, 2025Jing Villamente LTO-NCR cautionsions public vs fake LTO websites, text scamsThe Land Transportation Office–National Capital Region (LTO-NCR) on Sunday warned the public about a fake website similar to that of the official Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) of the LTO.LTO-NCR Regional Director Roque “Rox” I. Verzosa III said that the fake website is a phishing site designed to scam the public by tricking users into paying nonexistent fines and are not recorded in the official LTMS database.Verzosa added that the LTO has received reports of Viber and text messages claiming to be from the agency. These messages often include links (e.g., “ltms-portalph.com”) that lead to the fake LTMS site and urge recipients to pay fines online."To protect yourself, always verify the website link before entering any personal information or making payments," Verzosa advised.According to Verzosa, the following are the only official websites of the Land Transportation Office:🌐 https://lto.gov.ph– Official LTO website🌐 https://portal.lto.gov.ph– Official LTMS portal🌐 https://www.ltoncr.com– Official website of LTO-NCR"Be smart. Be alert. Always check before you click," Verzosa stressed.
