

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported 52 deaths caused by Typhoon Tino (international name Kalmegi).
According to the council’s report released on Wednesday, 5 November, the majority of casualties were reported in Region 7 (Central Visayas) — covering Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor — with 50 fatalities confirmed across the region.
The NDRRMC also reported 10 injured and 13 missing individuals, though the number of confirmed deaths is still subject to validation.
A total of more than 200,000 families have been affected across seven regions due to Typhoon Tino. Many of them are currently taking shelter in nearly 4,000 evacuation centers, while others are staying with relatives or in temporary accommodations.
The hardest-hit areas include Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, and CARAGA, where widespread flooding and strong winds displaced thousands of residents. Significant impacts were also reported in Central Visayas and the Bicol Region.
As of this report, 15 roads and five bridges remain impassable due to flooding and debris.
In terms of infrastructure, 16 houses were damaged in Region 6 (Western Visayas) — 10 partially and 6 totally. No official cost of damage has been reported yet.
A total of 69,836 families have been identified as requiring assistance. Of these, 48,529 families or 69.49% have received ₱31,165,257.55 worth of aid.
