More than P300,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized from two drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in San Mateo, Rizal on Tuesday night.

The two suspects — identified by the alias Janget and alias Nunoy — were apprehended in an operation conducted by operatives of the San Mateo Municipal Police Station's drug enforcement unit at No. 30, Buntong Palay, Purok 1, Barangay Silangan, San Mateo, at about 7:18 PM.

Seized in the operation were thirteen pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 50.3 grams, with a standard drug price of P342,040; a black pouch; a revolver pistol; five pieces of live rounds ammunition of revolver; and P500 buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects were temporarily detained at the San Mateo Municipal Police Station custodial facility while pertinent documents are being prepared for filing of the case against them.
