The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and two other weather systems will continue to affect several parts of the country, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Wednesday.

In its 5 AM advisory, PAGASA said the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern and Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, Soccsksargen, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Masbate, and Sorsogon.

Palawan, along with the rest of the Visayas and Mindanao, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms—also due to the ITCZ.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.

In Batanes and Babuyan Islands, cloudy skies with rains are expected due to the northeast monsoon (amihan).

PAGASA also warned that the extreme northern portions of Luzon will experience moderate to strong northeast winds and moderate to rough coastal waters, urging residents and fishermen to take necessary precautions.
