From Carbnb to CarBEV: Christian Bradley’s next chapter is all about purpose and progress

After steering Carbnb to success, its founder and former CEO Christian Bradley is shifting gears — this time toward a greener, more purpose-driven road.

Bradley has officially stepped down from his post to lead CarBEV, a bold new venture focused on building the Philippines’ first large-scale fleet of battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

If Carbnb was about reimagining shared mobility, CarBEV is about redefining sustainability. The startup’s mission and to make eco-friendly transport the new norm while uplifting the people behind the wheel. Through partnerships with top TNVS platforms like Grab, Angkas, and inDrive, CarBEV aims to roll out a modern fleet of all-electric vehicles—making sustainable mobility more accessible for Filipino commuters and improving driver welfare, all while helping the country hit its decarbonization goals.

To bring this vision to life, CarBEV is kicking things off with a partnership with Angcars, a rising player in the local transport scene. The collaboration will see an initial 50-unit all-electric fleet by 2025, a key milestone in proving that large-scale EV adoption in the Philippines isn’t just a dream—it’s already on the horizon.

But Bradley’s not stopping there. CarBEV is also teaming up with government agencies like the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Department of Transportation (DOTr) to align its goals with the nation’s clean energy and social welfare priorities. From supporting the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA) to advocating for driver protection and smarter traffic management, CarBEV is positioning itself as both an innovation hub and a movement for progress.

“This new chapter is about purpose and progress,” Bradley shared. “My journey as an entrepreneur hasn’t always been easy—some difficult, some transformative—that made me realize what truly matters. But every experience has led me closer to purpose. Life is short, and it’s time to focus on what’s right and lasting. CarBEV is my way of turning that realization into action, creating real value for our community and environment.”

As Bradley moves forward, the Carbnb board has officially accepted his resignation and will soon announce a new CEO. Still, Bradley remains part of the Carbnb story as a major shareholder and strategic advisor, ensuring that both ventures move in harmony.

Describing CarBEV as a culmination of his personal and professional evolution, Bradley reflected, “My journey with Carbnb has been incredible, but CarBEV is a calling I can no longer ignore. It’s a convergence of my faith, my desire for redemption, and my commitment to using business as a force for good.”
