CABANATUAN CITY- Senator JV Ejercito joined retired and active police generals on Saturday, 25 October, led by B/Gen. Rogelio "Pojie" Peñones, and hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts to raise an amount for the benefit of underprivileged individuals.
Dubbed as "Lakan Ride for a Cause 2025,” the fund raising activity was held at the Nueva Ecija Convention Center, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija and hosted by Col. Heryl Daguit Bruno, Nueva Ecija police director.
According to Col. Bruno, the event was organized by the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Alumni Association, Inc. (Lakan), with the Police Regional Office 3, headed by Gen. Peñones, serving as the implementing partner.
The nationwide gathering brought together motorcycle rider enthusiasts and PNPA alumni from various regions to promote camaraderie, road safety awareness, and community service.
Bruno said among the notable attendees were Senator Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito, himself a rider enthusiast; Viandre Nicole J. Cuevas, City Mayor of Palayan City; and several active and retired officers from the Philippine National Police Academy, including retired Lt. Gen. Rhoderick Armamento and Gen. Rudy Lacadin, among others.
Gen. Peñones said proceeds from the event will benefit the PNPA Alumni Association’s charitable initiatives, which extend assistance to underprivileged individuals and communities nationwide.
After the long ride that brought together hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country to support the cause, participants gathered for a boodle fight — a tradition that embodied unity, camaraderie, and the shared commitment to service among the riders and PNPA alumni.
