The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) held a Human Rights Stakeholders’ Forum in partnership with the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), and local government units.
The forum, held at the QCPD Hinirang Social Hall in Camp Karingal, featured discussions on human rights policies, local government coordination, and the implementation of Executive Order 70, which institutionalizes a whole-of-nation approach to peace and development.
Retired Brig. Gen. Arnulfo Ferdinand Bajarin of the Philippine Army, director of operations for the NTF-ELCAC, served as guest of honor. QCPD Acting District Director Col. Randy Glenn Silvio emphasized that policing must always be anchored on fairness and accountability.
Speakers included CHR-NCR Regional Director Atty. Kristian Jeff Episcope and Col. Roman Arugay of the PNP Human Rights Affairs Office.
Bajarin reminded officers that respecting human rights is central to effective law enforcement and public trust.
The event was attended by QCPD officers, station commanders, local officials, and civil society representatives. Silvio said the district remains committed to integrating human rights into its operations to build safer communities.
