Quezon City has been named a Hall of Fame Awardee in the 2025 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (LGU) Awards — City Level 1A by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).
The award, given under the category of Highly Urbanized Cities in the National Capital Region, was received by Mayor Joy Belmonte and Business Permits and Licensing Department (BPLD) Head Margie Mejia during the 51st Philippine Business Conference and Expo at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
It marked Quezon City’s third consecutive win in the PCCI awards, earning it a place in the Hall of Fame — an honor given to LGUs that have shown consistent excellence in promoting business and economic growth.
The city was first elevated to Hall of Fame status during the administration of former Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. The latest recognition under Mayor Joy Belmonte underscores continuity in governance and innovation.
Since 2019, Quezon City has implemented digital reforms to streamline business transactions. It was the first LGU to roll out an end-to-end automated system, including online payments and electronic receipts. These measures have helped reduce processing times and strengthened investor confidence.
