The provincial government inaugurated the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Center (LEDIP-C) to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the province at Poblacion 5 in Baler, Aurora, on 23 October 2025.

With the theme “Proudly made in Aurora,” the products showcased at the LEDIP-C are locally made in the province.

According to Cecilia B. Marino, project leader of LEDIP-C and project development officer of the Provincial Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (PLEDIPO), the center consists of a showroom for local products, a training room for food processing and handicraft making, and an administration office for the Business Development Division of the PLEDIPO.

“Ginawa namin ang sentrong ito upang mapalago at maipromote ang mga produktong gawa ng ating mga maliliit na negosyante. Bukas ito hindi lamang sa MSMEs kundi sa lahat ng nagnanais matuto at makapagtaguyod ng kabuhayan,” Marino said.

Coinciding with the inauguration was a training on corn husk flower making for women and senior citizens, an activity timely for All Souls’ Day.

Governor Isidro P. Galban, Board Member Jennifer Araña (chair of the Committee on Trade, Commerce, and Industry), DOST-Aurora Provincial Director Maricel Sicat, DTI-Aurora Provincial Director Aldrin Veneracion, Gigi Gomez of PESO, and Rev. Fr. John Anthony Losbañes were present during the inauguration.

With continuous support from the provincial government, the LEDIP-C is poised to become a hub for innovation, livelihood, and tourism.
