Rizal police provincial director Col. Feloteo Gonzalgo assured the readiness of their personnel to maintain peace and order during the observance of this year’s All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.
Gonzalgo said the operation aims to ensure a safe and organized visit to cemeteries and memorial parks across the province from 28 October to 02 November 2025.
Rizal has a total of 83 cemeteries — 36 public and 47 private — in addition to seven columbariums. Gonzalgo said more than 400,000 individuals are expected to visit cemeteries in the province during Undas.
“We are estimating that there will be 405,000 people who will visit our cemeteries and columbariums in the province from 28 October to 02 November,” he said.
To maintain security and order, more than 2,340 police officers and force multipliers will be deployed to cemeteries, terminals, major roads, and other areas of convergence.
Of this number, 369 officers will be assigned in Antipolo City, 315 in Taytay, 235 in Rodriguez, 202 in San Mateo, and 182 in Angono—towns expected to see large crowds.
Gonzalgo said 84 police assistance desks will be set up inside and outside cemeteries to assist visitors, supported by quick reaction teams ready to respond to emergencies.
He also urged the public to cooperate with authorities and follow safety rules.
“Our people are alert to ensure the safety and order of the public while they pay respect to their loved ones. We also encourage the public to help the authorities and follow the guidelines,” he said.
Gonzalgo reminded visitors not to bring prohibited items such as deadly weapons, liquor, and gambling paraphernalia, as these will be confiscated.
“In addition, we remind the public to avoid bringing alcoholic drinks, firearms, and gambling paraphernalia inside the cemeteries. Loud sound systems are also prohibited,” he said.
He also urged residents to secure their homes before leaving for Undas by locking doors, unplugging appliances, and taking other safety precautions.
“Make sure that their homes are safe before they leave,” he said.
