

A decline in influenza-like illnesses (ILI) were reported by the Taguig City Government amid the face-to-face class suspensions in Metro Manila ordered by the Department of Education (DepEd) - National Capital Region from 13-14 October.
Data from the City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CEDSU) showed that ILI cases dropped from 35 between 14-20 September to seven during the week ending 11 October.
Most affected were children aged one to five years old according to the Taguig Public Information Office. The city also noted no new localized cases in Fort Bonifacio and Ususan, while only one each were reported in Pinagsama, Tuktukan, and Ibayo.
CEDSU and local health centers continue to monitor cases. Fever fast lanes remain operational in all Taguig health centers along with Taguig-Pateros District Hospital and Taguig City General Hospital.
Parents are encouraged to bring their sick children to the nearest health center, let their school know about their condition, and keep them home until fully recovered.
