Militant groups staged a protest in front of the House of Representatives in Quezon City on Friday, 5 September 2025, to condemn the leading role of the Department of Public Works and Highways in the alleged anomalous flood control projects and widespread corruption in the government’s infrastructure program.

The rally later turned chaotic after a confrontation between militants and members of the Philippine National Police.
