Limay, Bataan – A former rebel surrendered to the Bataan police at the 2nd PMFC, Bataan PPO, Brgy. Lamao of this town on August 14, 2025.
According to the Bataan Police Provincial Office (BPPO), the former insurgent was once a member of the CPP-NPA-NDF.
The successful intelligence-driven operation was carried out by joint operatives of the Bataan 2nd PMFC (lead unit), together with the 1st PMFC, Limay MPS, Orion MPS, Mariveles MPS, Pilar MPS, Bagac MPS, Morong MPS, PIU Bataan PPO, RID3, Bataan PIT, RIU3, 302nd MC RMFB3, 25SAC, 2nd SAB, and the 69IB, 72MICO, and 7MIB of the Philippine Army.
As a gesture of his renunciation of armed struggle, the former rebel voluntarily surrendered one (1) unit of caliber .38 revolver with two live rounds of ammunition.
The 2nd PMFC also provided two sacks of rice to help the former rebel start a new life.
