Anti-narcotics operatives arrested a suspected drug pusher tagged as high-value individual in a buy-bust operation in Tanay, Rizal on Wednesday night.
Arrested in the operation was identified only by the alias Putol, 54 , jobless, and a resident of Barangay Plaza Aldea, Tanay.
He was apprehended in an operation conducted by operatives of the Tanay Municipal Police Station's drug enforcement team in Barangay Plaza Aldea at about 10:30 p.m.
Confiscated from the suspect were four pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 60 grams, with an estimated street value of P408,000; P1,000 buy-bust money; two pieces of 200-peso bill; and a blue cellular phone.
Pertinent documents are now being readied for filing of cases against the suspect for violation with Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Taytay, Rizal.
The suspect is now detained at the Tanay Municipal Police Station custodial facility for proper disposition and documentation.
