Two individuals on the most wanted list of Southern Police District (SPD) were arrested in separate operations in Las Piñas and Taguig City on Wednesday, 13 August.
At around 1:40 p.m. in Las Piñas City Police and personnel from the Daang Hari Sub-station arrested the 49-year-old alias “Maestre.” He was ranked as the station's ninth most wanted for August 2025.
Alias “Maestre” was taken into custody by virtue of arrest warrants for two counts of violation Republic Act 9262 or the or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, and Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The warrants were issued on 12 August in the Las Piñas Regional Trial Court Branch 202. “Maestre” is currently detained at the Las Piñas station’s custodial facility pending a commitment order from the court.
Meanwhile, at around 1:35 p.m., Taguig City Police Station arrested alias “Ochea,” a 43-year-old woman who is employed as a housekeeper. She was listed as SPD’s 10th most wanted for August 2025.
Alias “Ochea” was arrested under a warrant issued last 6 August for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for possession of illegal drugs. She remains under the custody of the Warrant and Subpoena Section pending further proceedings.
