Actress Marjorie Barretto has achieved a personal milestone, graduating from college at the age of 51.
In an Instagram post, Barretto shared photos from her graduation ceremony, expressing her joy and gratitude for finally completing her academic journey.
According to Barretto, she had to put her studies on hold for years due to “show business, raising children, public service, business and building a life.” She credited the Philippine Women’s University for supporting her return to school.
She also extended a special thanks to close friend Ruffa Gutierrez, “for starting this journey for so many of us — she graduated first, lovingly encouraged me to go back to college, and always reminded me that I could do it.”
Barretto is the mother of celebrities Julia and Claudia Barretto, as well as three other children.
