Operatives of the Eastern Police District's (EPD) Special Operations Unit apprehended one of the district's most wanted fugitives — ranked No. 5 at the district level — along J. Luna Street, Barangay Bagong Silang, Mandaluyong City, on Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect, identified only as alias "Madz," 37, a construction worker and resident of Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City, is also the No. 2 most wanted person under the Mandaluyong City Police Station.

According to investigators, the accused is the stepfather of a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly sexually abused on May 12, 13, and 14, 2025, inside their home. The victim reported the incidents to her sister-in-law, who then informed the victim’s mother and other relatives. A complaint was immediately filed against the suspect.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Mandaluyong Regional Trial Court Branch 279 for acts of lasciviousness under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code.

He is currently detained at the EPD Special Operations Unit’s custodial facility for documentation. He will undergo medical and physical examination at the Mandaluyong City Medical Center before being transferred to the Mandaluyong City Police Station's custodial facility. Authorities are now preparing the necessary documents for the return of the warrant to the issuing court.
