The Marikina Police arrested a suspect for robbery with violence and intimidation, which occurred in front of the Flying V gasoline station in Barangay Concepcion Uno on Sunday morning.
The 37-year-old suspect, identified as alias Raymon, is a resident of Barangay San Isidro, Cainta, Rizal.
According to the initial investigation, while police operatives were conducting an anti-criminality law enforcement operation, they received a call from the 911 hotline about the alleged robbery incident. Upon receiving the report, police officers immediately responded to the scene.
When the responding officers arrived, they were approached by a woman asking for help, who pointed out the fleeing suspect. The police gave chase and successfully arrested him.
Recovered from the suspect were stolen items, including a barbecue stick he used to assault the victim, causing a scar on her neck.
The suspect is now detained at the custodial facility of the Marikina City Police Station, while pertinent documents are being prepared for inquest proceedings.
