
Villar Foundation announced 12 awardees to its annual Youth Poverty Reduction Challenge (YPRC) on 31 July 2025.
Now on its eighth year, the YPRC or Villar Foundation Awards honored outstanding youth organizations from various regions across the country in recognition of their significant contributions to poverty alleviation in their respective communities.
Each awardee received a P200,000 cash prize and a trophy. Two groups were given Special Awards as promising youth groups and received P100,000 cash prize.
The awardees are the Albay Young Farmers’ Organization of Legazpi City, Albay; Angelico Voce Chorale of General Trias, Cavite; BAGWE Community Development Association of Candelaria, Zambales; Cordillera Young Leaders of La Trinidad, Benguet; Gabriel Compound Youth Organization of Las Piñas City; Kalinga Youth Advocates of Rizal, Kalinga; La Pazeños 4H Club of La Paz, Zamboanga; Messiah Youth Symphony Inc. of Dasmariñas, Cavite; The Bang Café of Taytay, Rizal; The Pag-asa Pilar Percussion, Pilar Village, Las Piñas City; Youth for Environmental Sustainability Organization of Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City; and Youthopia Leaders Advocates Inc. of Danao City, Cebu.
The Villar Foundation received 67 nominations from youth groups nationwide, all of which underwent a thorough selection process to determine the most deserving awardees.
The annual awarding ceremony was graced by past awardees.
