Some of the Philippines’ most promising young golfers are ready to showcase their skills as the Superkit Junior Elite Golf Tour kicks off its first leg on Saturday at the Vineyard Golf Club in Tanauan, Batangas.
The tournament opens with a double shotgun format, with groups teeing off at 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Players, grouped by age from 5 to 18 years old, will compete in a full 18-hole individual stroke play format under official R&A and USGA rules.
Organized with the goal of promoting junior golf across the country, the Superkit Junior Elite Golf Tour offers a platform for young athletes of all levels to develop and showcase their potential. The championship also aims to help build a reserve of future talents who may go on to represent the Philippines in international competitions.
The tournament is sanctioned by NGAP and governed by the Superkit Tournament Committee, whose decisions are final. It is organized by Famous Sports Equipment (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., and operated locally by Hoop Coaches International Co. in partnership with the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP).
Before the official tee-offs, players will undergo registration, an opening ceremony, and a tournament briefing at 5:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., respectively, depending on their assigned wave. The awarding ceremony and lucky draw will take place later in the day, followed by dinner.
With age-specific tee placements and yardage adjustments, the tournament ensures a fair playing field across 10 divisions.
The top three finishers in each division will receive trophies, custom Superkit prizes, and automatic slots in the Superkit Junior Elite Golf Tour Final in December.
The top three finishers of that Final will represent the country at the Superkit International Junior Elite Championship in Guangdong, China, scheduled for 9-11 January 2026.
Also seeded are the top six peformers in the Order of Merit.
Special prizes will also be awarded for hole-in-one, eagle, nearest to pin, and to first-time 18-hole finishers. A lucky draw will give away 30 items.
For the kickoff leg, participants will receive free Superkit shirts and caps worth more than $100.
Throughout the season, players will accumulate merit points, with the top six at year’s end earning cash prizes and certificates. The overall champion may be named Superkit Brand Ambassador for 2026, receiving product vouchers and scholarships.
