Chic home wear brand Statement Theory recently had an afternoon tete-a-tete with one of Manila’s celebrated tastemakers, lighting director and jewelry designer Mark Wilson. Held at the brands store at Powerplant mall, the intimate gathering brought together some of the city’s discerning style-setters.
At Statement Theory’s latest pop-up, Caro Wilson — the refined tableware line by designer Mark Wilson — is beautifully featured, bringing quiet luxury and thoughtful design to the forefront of modern entertaining. Known as the go-to boutique for passionate tablescape artists, Statement Theory curates pieces that celebrate form, function and the joy of gathering — making it the perfect home for Caro Wilson’s latest collection.
Handwoven from sustainably sourced abaca, the placemats and napkins reflect a deep respect for craft and material. Each piece carries the brand’s signature aesthetic: tactile, grounded and timeless. “Setting a table is a form of soft power,” Mark explains. “It’s a way of showing care, shaping atmosphere, and creating lasting impressions without saying a word.”
At the launch, Mark spoke about entertaining as an intentional practice. “It’s not about perfection,” he shared. “It’s about presence. When a table is set with thought, it invites people to slow down, connect, and feel at home.”
The Caro Wilson line is designed to be versatile — equally at ease in everyday meals or elevated gatherings that reflect the soft, meaningful influence of design done well. The collection is a seamless fit for the boutique’s curated vision of artful entertaining. Together, Caro Wilson and Statement Theory champion the belief that beauty at the table is more than decoration — it’s a quiet, enduring act of hospitality.
Caro Wilson is now available at Statement Theory, located at Level 2/F, Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Makati.
