Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija – The body of a Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) driver who was robbed and killed was found in Barangay Batitang of this town on 11 July 2025.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has confirmed that the body found near the roadside is that of robbery victim and TNVS driver Raymond Cabrera. Cabrera went missing on 18 May and was last seen picking up passengers near a casino hotel in Parañaque City.

The three suspects who killed Cabrera surrendered on Thursday to Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, admitting guilt in the crime. Two of the suspects led NBI operatives to the area where they dumped the victim’s body.

The NBI has yet to release details regarding the motive or the identities of the suspects, while the investigation is still ongoing.

The agency will conduct confirmatory tests on the body found in Barangay Batitang to verify that it is indeed Cabrera’s.

The three suspects are asking for forgiveness from the family of the victim.
