A warehouse in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City went up in flames Friday night and was declared under control only by Saturday morning, after nearly 11 hours of firefighting.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)–Pasig reported that the fire broke out at a warehouse along Sandoval Avenue shortly after 7 PM Friday. By 5 AM the following day, the blaze had reached third alarm status, with thick black smoke blanketing the area.
The Pasig Public Information Office issued a traffic advisory at 4 a.m. Saturday, announcing that Sandoval Avenue — from N. Cruz Street to Urbano Velasco Avenue — was not passable due to ongoing fire suppression operations. Motorists were advised to take alternate routes.
Fire authorities declared the fire under control at 6:38 AM. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, BFP said.
