For more than a decade, Miguel Germina dreamed of a crown — not for fame or recognition, but as a symbol of perseverance and purpose.

In 2025, that long-held dream came true when he was officially named Mister Gay World Philippines. But for Miguel, this milestone represents more than personal success — it’s a moment to amplify visibility, foster representation, and redefine what wearing a crown truly means.

“The first time I tried, the stars didn’t align,” he shares candidly. “But I’ve never been someone who gives up on a dream. I tried again — and this time, I made it.”

Miguel’s journey didn’t follow the fast track. Instead, it unfolded with resilience.

“Let this be a reminder,” he said, “failure doesn’t define your success; it becomes a part of your journey to victory. Every setback is a setup for a comeback.”

What drives him isn’t just the thrill of competition. His win is rooted in community and intention — to serve, to represent, and to uplift. Miguel is quick to credit the people behind his journey.

“This victory wouldn’t be possible without the incredible people behind my wings.”

From his family to his glam team, Miguel expressed deep gratitude to those who helped bring his vision to life. He thanked Nala Apparel, Mark Pagalanan, Norman Malagueño Acuba, Alter BL Boutique, Don Gerald Romualdez Santos, Angelique de Leon, John Cydric Rufino, and creative director Krizzia Nieva for their contributions to his pageant presentation. His glam squad — Oliver Bumatay, Hiro Makinano, Marvin Palma, and Laurent Zavier Sy Segovia — gave him confidence onstage, while Q&A trainer Juan Tapales helped him speak with clarity and conviction. Designers Daniella van Buren and Er Stephen Alvarado delivered standout looks that honored Filipino heritage.

To the Mr. Gay World Philippines Organization, Miguel shared his appreciation for the opportunity to represent the country: “Thank you for trusting me with this responsibility. I promise to give my very best in representing our country with pride, dignity, and purpose on the international stage.”

He also acknowledged outgoing titleholder Bench Ortiz, as well as the local organizations that backed him throughout the competition: the City Government of Muntinlupa, I Love Cupang, Kapitana Luvi Constantino, Bagong Alabang, Tintin Abas-Ding, 4Life Philippines, Muntinlupa News Express, and Explore Muntinlupa.

“This crown may be on my head, but it belongs to all of us,” he said.

Now holding the title of Mister Gay World Philippines 2025, Miguel Germina enters this next chapter with pride and purpose — ready to represent the country on a global stage and champion inclusivity, authenticity, and positive change.

“Together, let’s create positive change in the lives of everyone.” — Miguel Germina, Mister Gay World Philippines 2025
