Veteran showbiz columnist and talent manager Lolit Solis appeared to reflect deeply on her life and health in what would be her final Instagram post — shared just a day before her passing.

In the heartfelt message, Solis spoke candidly about the toll of being ill, describing the emotional and physical weight of her condition.

“Ang hirap pala ng may sakit. Hopeless, helpless, weak ka. Para bang hindi mo alam where and what to do,” she wrote.

(It's really hard to be sick. You feel hopeless, helpless, and weak. It's like you don't know where to go or what to do.)

Despite her struggle, she remained hopeful. “Wishing na sana gumaling ako agad at maging active uli (Wishing that I could recover quickly and be active again). I love life. I love my works. I love my friends. I live life like everybody else,” she added, also admitting there were times she felt like crying out of “self pity.”

“Pero talaga siguro ganoon ang buhay, dumarating mga bagay sa oras ng hindi mo alam,” she said, accepting life’s unpredictability.

(But maybe that's really how life is—things come at a time you least expect.)

Solis likened waking up each day to a “miracle,” noting how she often felt weak upon sleeping and unsure of where her rest would take her.

“I am very thankful pero admitted ko na medyo pagod na ako. I have so many things to be thankful for, parang para sa akin tama na ang journey ko sa buhay. Been there, done that,” she wrote.

Her message concluded with a quiet farewell filled with gratitude:
“So if I will leave now, no regrets. Life was good to me, people are nice, things worked mostly in my favors, what more can I ask? Basta, thank you to all, my apologies to some, and if ever just remember me with fondness, I love all of you, and thank you my God.”

Solis passed away while confined at FEU Hospital in Quezon City, where she had been undergoing dialysis twice a week, with each session lasting four hours.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sneezy and Snoopy, who both reside in the United States.

Before becoming a household name in entertainment journalism, Solis began her career as a police beat reporter, training under veteran journalist Ruther Batuigas.

Over the decades, she became one of the most influential figures in the industry, managing a roster of top stars that included Gabby Concepcion, Rudy Fernandez, Bong Revilla, Christopher de Leon, Lorna Tolentino, Tonton Gutierrez, Amy Austria, and Gladys Reyes.
