Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has signaled its strong intention to stay deeply rooted in the local automotive industry. In a recent meeting with the Philippine Board of Investments (BOI), MMPC reaffirmed its role as one of the key players in local manufacturing.
Held at the BOI office in Makati and led by Executive Director Corazon Halili-Dichosa, the meeting focused on Mitsubishi’s continued investments in the country. MMPC has already funneled over ₱11.6 billion into local production and operations over the past decade. The company is planning to invest another ₱7 billion in the next five years—an encouraging sign of confidence in the Philippine economy.
MMPC also voiced its support for government programs aimed at stimulating industry growth. It believes these efforts will help the Philippines maintain its importance within Mitsubishi Motors' ASEAN operations and overall global strategy.
For its part, the BOI reiterated its commitment to improving the investment climate by offering better incentives, simplifying regulations, and supporting industries that promise high-impact results and innovation.
