Police quickly intervened in a shooting incident in Makati’s commercial district Wednesday night, leading to the arrest of two Chinese nationals suspected of targeting a Filipino man.

Southern Police District (SPD) units from Makati Substations 3 and 5, along with SWAT and Tactical Motorcycle Riders, responded within minutes to reports of gunfire around 9:13 p.m. The shooting occurred in the parking area of Makati Cinema Square on Amorsolo Street, Barangay Pio del Pilar.

The 40-year-old victim, identified as “Christopher,” was inside a black Toyota Fortuner and about to exit the parking area when a gunman fired several shots at his vehicle.

“Multiple shots hit the vehicle, fortunately the victim survived,” SPD said in a statement.
