BAGUIO CITY — Pangasinan Governor Ramon Guico III has issued a fervent public advisory, urging residents to exercise extreme caution and vigilance against the proliferation of online scams. This urgent warning comes in the wake of the discovery of a fraudulent Facebook account impersonating the governor.
Governor Guico unequivocally stated, “Nais ko pong ipaalam sa publiko na ang sumusunod na Facebook profile ay fake at hindi ko pagmamay-ari,” directly disavowing any connection to the deceptive profile found at https://www.facebook.com/ramon.mon.mon.guico.iii.
The governor emphasized that this fake account is not legitimate, and any messages, transactions, or activities originating from it should be entirely disregarded. He strongly advised the public to not entertain any communication from this impostor profile.
To protect themselves and others, Guico urged the public to report and block the fraudulent account immediately. Furthermore, he appealed to the community to spread awareness about this scam to their friends and family, helping to prevent more individuals from falling victim to potential online fraud.
