Baron Geisler, long known for his intense and unhinged portrayals, breaks new ground in Incognito: Final Mission, where he steps into the unfamiliar role of a man seeking redemption. For the actor, the journey isn’t just a character arc—it’s deeply personal.
In the ABS-CBN and Star Creatives series, Baron plays Miguel, a recovering alcoholic trying to find his way in a world that has tested him at every turn. During the show's finale press conference, Geisler admitted that portraying a “good guy” proved to be a unique and demanding challenge.
“Yes, it’s my first time playing a good guy, and it’s quite challenging,” Baron said. “Sabi nga nila Direk Lester [Pimentel], na-master ko na ‘yung mga crazy characters. So iba naman yung timpla pagdating sa good guy role kasi it tends to be boring. Kailangan talaga, tama yung timpla. Buti na lang we have great writers who made each character interesting.”
More than just a script, Incognito resonated with Baron’s real-life experiences. “Miguel hits home talaga. I’m a recovering alcoholic, and Miguel is also a recovering alcoholic. So I’m just grateful na nabigyan ako ng ABS-CBN and Star Creatives ng ganitong klaseng role. I will cherish this for the rest of my life,” he said.
Baron’s nuanced performance has earned praise for its sincerity and emotional range. For someone once defined by chaos—on-screen and off—this role marks a quiet yet powerful transformation.
“Sana nga magka-season two,” he added with hope.
Regardless of whether the series continues, Baron is proud of his work. “Natapos ko ‘yung seryeng ito na hindi ako nagkalat,” he said with a smile.
