After more than 100 adrenaline-fueled episodes, globe-trotting missions, and a brotherhood forged in fire, Incognito is reaching its finale—at least for now. For lead actor Richard Gutierrez, who plays ex-special forces operative Joseph Bonifacio, the journey has been nothing short of transformative.
At the Incognito: Final Mission press conference on 25 June in Quezon City, the 41-year-old actor looked back on the series with gratitude and nostalgia. “Every mission was a challenge and an adventure. It’s hard to pick a favorite,” Richard shared. “But what made each one memorable was how our group—both the cast and the production team—grew tighter with every episode.”
Filmed in locations like Palawan, Italy, Japan, Tacloban, and Marawi, Incognito pushed the envelope for Filipino primetime TV. But beyond the high-octane action, it was the cast’s offscreen camaraderie that stood out. Richard worked alongside Daniel Padilla, Baron Geisler, Anthony Jennings, Maris Racal, Kaila Estrada, and Ian Veneracion—actors who became more than just co-stars.
“What started as colleagues working on a series became real-life friendships,” he said. “Parang ‘yung journey ng ‘Contractors’ [the fictional elite task force], ganun din kami in real life—from strangers, to partners, to becoming a real family.”
The finale, shot in Marawi, was particularly emotional for the team. “It’s the culmination of everything we worked for. Lahat ng buwelo, lahat ng sacrifices, we poured everything into these final episodes,” Richard emphasized. “Bittersweet, kasi this might be the end of Season One, but it’s also where everything comes full circle.”
He added, “The finale shows how unity, trust, and good intentions can push you forward. Whether in life or in battle, if you have the right people around you—friends who become your family—you can overcome anything.”
With Incognito now streaming on Netflix and iWantTFC, and airing weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, and TFC, Richard is proud of what the team achieved. “This was one of the most demanding and rewarding projects of my career,” he said. “We didn’t just shoot a show. We created a world that people followed, week after week.”
As fans prepare for the final missions, Richard leaves this message: “Enjoy the ending. It’s not just action—it’s heart, it’s family, it’s purpose. And who knows? Maybe this isn’t the last mission after all.”
