Will San Miguel Beer finally unleash its twin towers in Mo Tautuaa and June Mar Fajardo against Barangay Ginebra in the semifinals?

Beermen head coach Leo Austria is floating around the idea as they brace for a tough best-of-seven semifinals series against the Kings in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup.

San Miguel eliminated defending champion Meralco, 108-97, in their quarterfinal clash last Friday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

“And if you notice, we seldom use June Mar and Mo at the same time. But we're preparing for these two guys to play together, come the playoff title,” Austria said.

Against the Bolts, Fajardo and Tautuaa grabbed 26 of the team’s 55 rebounds as they alternated for one another.

But having both bigs on the floor could do wonders for the Beermen as Ginebra will be fielding its own version of their twin towers in Japeth Aguilar and Troy Rosario as well as the leaping point guard Scottie Thompson.

Austria said getting payback over Meralco might be sweet, but there are still a lot of games left to play for San Miguel in its bid to regain the crown.
