Residents of higher elevation areas in San Jose del Monte (SJDM), Bulacan, can expect improved water service as PrimeWater Infrastructure Corp. and SJDM Water District near completion of a key infrastructure upgrade.
The company said over the weekend that the Transmission Line Extension Project from Barangay Tungkong Mangga to Barangay Gaya-Gaya Segment 1 is set to be completed by the end of the month.
Once operational, the project will deliver 16 to 24 hours of water supply to areas where service has been difficult to maintain.
“We are upgrading both our storage and transmission systems to ensure that we will be able to supply our concessionaires sufficiently. The project is in near completion and we are optimistic that once it is completed, the significant impact will be felt by our subscribers,” PrimeWater management said.
The upgrade is expected to improve distribution for about 18,000 existing concessionaires and accommodate up to 4,000 new service connections—supporting SJDM’s rapidly growing residential demand.
PrimeWater and the SJDM Water District have raised daily supply from 85 to 122 million liters since their partnership began.
They recently completed Interconnection Point 2 in Barangay Muzon Poblacion to ease pressure issues and improve supply for about 28,000 concessionaires in the city’s most populated area.
