West Zone water concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. has extended vital support to around 50 public schools across Metro Manila and Cavite for the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela 2025 program.

The company provided disinfecting supplies, hydration support, and other essentials to help campuses prepare for the upcoming school year. Among the donations were 87 refrigerated drinking fountains and 260 packs of bottled water, distributed to public schools in the cities of Manila, Quezon City, Caloocan, Valenzuela, Malabon, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Makati, Imus, and Bacoor.

The initiative, conducted in partnership with DepEd school divisions and local government units, forms part of Maynilad’s broader sustainability efforts aligned with health, education, and community development.

“We are pleased to support Brigada Eskwela once again, as it aligns with our sustainability agenda to promote health, education, and overall well-being in the communities we serve,” said Maynilad Chief Sustainability Officer Roel S. Espiritu. “By helping to create safe and welcoming school environments, we hope to empower more Filipino children to grow and thrive.”

Beyond this year’s Brigada Eskwela, Maynilad is also refurbishing drink-and-wash stations in 20 public schools and will roll out Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (W.A.S.H.) education sessions and reading caravans through its Daloy Dunong program in partnership with MVP Group sister companies.

Maynilad remains the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines based on customer base. It serves the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area under the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), covering most of Manila, parts of Quezon City, and several cities and municipalities in Metro Manila and Cavite.
