Mariafe Ocampo, mother of influencer Zeinab Harake, claimed she was not invited to her daughter’s wedding to basketball player Bobby Ray Parks Jr.
In a now-viral social media post, a netizen said she spotted Ocampo at an Alfamart convenience store in Silang, Cavite, on 1 June between 6:00 and 7:30 PM
Gusto nila sumikat?
(“Me, her own mother, wasn’t allowed to attend the wedding. They want to be famous? They’ll be even more famous for what they did. I’ll post about them on my Facebook—both Zeinab and Ray Parks.”)
Ocampo later posted a series of cryptic messages on her Facebook page. One read:
“Kapag may mga taong sinaktan ka emotionally, take it as a sign na hindi sila worth sa presence mo. Distance yourself at ‘wag mong hayaang sirain nila ang mental health mo.”
(“When people hurt you emotionally, take it as a sign they are not worth your presence. Distance yourself and don’t let them destroy your mental health.”)
“Mas importante ang inner peace mo.”
(Your inner peace is more important.)
In another post, she addressed what appeared to be a jab at her daughter:
“Toxic people will do you dirty, then try to convince people that you’re the problem.”
“Listen to God, not them.”
