In a few months, John Riel Casimero might no longer see his name on the list of fighters ranked highly by the four major sanctioning bodies.

As of today, Casimero, the three-division world champion who hasn’t fought since October last year, remains rated by three of four boxing bodies.

Only the World Boxing Association doesn’t include his name on the top 15 list of super-bantamweights.

The World Boxing Council (WBC), World Boxing Organization (WBO) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) still list him.

But his position is starting to drop.

The Mexico-based WBC now rates Casimero No. 14 while the WBO ranks him No. 10 and the IBF lists him at o. 7.

Juan Miguel Elorde, a member of the WBC’s Ratings Committee, told DAILY TRIBUNE that perhaps in three months, the boxing body will drop him in its monthly rankings “for inactivity.”

Last time Casimero fought, the Leyte-born banger knocked out American Saul Sanchez in Yokohama, Japan.

But at 36 years old and his being banned in Japan for coming in overweight against Sanchez still in effect, his options are getting fewer and his world getting smaller.

Holding a 34-4-1 win-loss-draw record with 23 knockouts, Casimero doesn’t have a promoter right now, something that is making it difficult for him to land a fight.
